JV Gold Spring 2011 Weekly Update April 9th
|
It has been a great season thus far! Here is a recap of last week's matches:
JV White traveled to Sherman Park to play Mukwonago in a dual meet and had some great matches! Coach
Krall was very pleased with the effort and was excited about the effort given on the court. Apparently Sherman
Park was a bit of a culture shock for the visitors, but we at MUHS embraced the flavor of our urban
environment! The team was led by Zellmer at #1 singles and should have some more great matches this
week...
JV Gold traveled to Brookfield Academy and faced their JV squad in a dual. We were fortunate enough to
sweep the doubles matches in relatively easy fashion (#1- Rez/McCormick, #2- Alston/Maloney, #3-
Flatley/Loeffler) and had some evenly matched contests. Bodalski (#2) and Khan (#3) came up just short in
two closely contested matches and I was proud of their efforts. Goblitsch (#1) and Blust (#4) both came back
from early deficits and pulled out tight victories, with Goblitsch finishing his match out 8-6 with our guys
cheering him from the sidelines. The exhibition matched were equally as impressive, as our guys battled on
every point and I was proud of them regardless of the outcome. We all agreed to work on certain things this
upcoming week in order to continue our improvement.
Let's continue representing MUHS in the highest fashion as we are men for others and we humble ourselves
before God. Coach Krall and I are very pleased to see that we are competing, improving and having fun at
the same time. That's what it's all about!!!
