David R. Frank - Varsity Head Coach
Coach Frank took over running the the MUHS Tennis Program in 2005
(following a tough act in Fr. Rob Kroll) after serving as an assistant
coach in 2004. David was a four-year Varsity Tennis letter-winner at
MUHS, graduating in 1999. He played on four WISAA State
Championship Teams and played a key role on each of those teams.
He was most proud of the MUHS Tennis Team winning the
Sportsmanship Award at the 2008 State Tournament. He stresses the
team concept of high school tennis as well as the "men for others"
concept taught by the Jesuits to each of his players. David attributes
much of his coaching success to the tutelage he received over his four
years of playing under Coach Donovan in the late 1990s. The team
has won four WIAA Team State Championships (2007, 2008,2009 &
2010) under his tenure and six Greater Metro Conference
Championships.

Ben Krahn - JV Blue Coach
Luigi Schmitt - Varsity Reserve Coach
Luigi has been the Varsity Reserve Coach for twelve years. He was
originally asked to join the coaching staff by legendary head coach,
Mike Donovan. He has not looked back since then and continues to
display his high energy and enthusiasm with our young men. He says
he is proud to be a small part of the best tennis program in the State of
Wisconsin and credits its young head coach, David Frank, for keeping
the MUHS tennis program at such an incredibly high level.
Jeff Mrochinski - JV Gold and Fitness Coach
Jeff ('88) was blessed to have the opportunity to play for Mike Donovan
on both the JV and Varsity level at MUHS. He has been and assistant
coach with the MUHS program since 2002, and started by serving
under the guidance of Rob Kroll and former classmate, Paul
Stockhausen. A fitness professional by trade, Jeff conducts fitness
programs for the varsity team, and assists with coaching. He is very
excited about the success of the program for all four teams, including
the newly organized JV Gold. Jeff's motivation for coaching is to
develop boys into productive, responsible men who hold the Jesuit
value of service to others.
A.J. Krahn - Assistant Varsity Coach
Chris Krall – Assistant JV Gold Coach
Chris is thrilled to be joining the MUHS Tennis team after looking up to
them and even competing against them since he was in high school.
Chris played number one singles for four years at Marshfield Columbus
High School and qualified for state each of those four years (‘97-’01). In
2000, he was named the Central Wisconsin Catholic Conference player
of the year and ranked in the top fifteen in the state USTA ranking.
During college at Boston College and graduate school at the University
of Toronto, Chris regularly competed in and placed in intramural
tournaments held at the schools. As a Jesuit scholastic, Chris seeks to
bring the elements of faith, life, and the greater glory of God into the
rhythms, challenges, and competition that tennis provides.
